Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu will leave the club after reaching an agreement with the club hierarchy to terminate his contract early.
The Japanese international is recovering from knee surgery and played just six minutes of football last season. Tomiyasu underwent the operation in February and is expected to need another five months to fully recover.
The 26-year-old had missed the start of the previous season due to a knee injury in 2023, which also required surgical intervention.
His existing contract with Arsenal was due to expire at the end of next season, but the club and Tomiyasu have reached a contractual settlement to bring the agreement to an early conclusion.
Camel Live understands that Saudi Arabian clubs have contacted the player's agency yesterday, expressing interest in signing the Japanese international.
Tomiyasu joined Arsenal from Bologna in 2021 and made 79 appearances for the Gunners. The club has already started seeking defensive reinforcements this summer, with Valencia center-back Mosquera among their targets.
Additionally, Kieran Tierney has left Arsenal for Celtic, while Oleksandr Zinchenko could also depart before the summer transfer deadline on September 1.
